Students in Mrs. Collins' second-grade class have been learning about the life of a butterfly with Mr. Bob from Churchhill United Methodist Church. Over the past few weeks, the class has had the privilege of closely observing these caterpillars as they devoured milkweed plants, spun their protective chrysalises, and emerged as stunning Monarch butterflies. As they prepared for flight, the group nourished them with fresh fruit and sugar water to ensure their wings grew strong. This afternoon, Mr. Bob and the class tagged the butterfly so it could be tracked on its way to Mexico!
