Liberty Local Schools recently welcomed Mike Sullivan, a mental wellness advocate, to inspire and empower students through his "Born to Shine" assemblies. Designed for K-8 students, this engaging, interactive, and educational program aims to help students build confidence, develop resilience, and navigate challenges with a positive mindset.
Mike's message came from personal experience—having faced severe anxiety and depression due to bullying in elementary and middle school, he discovered three key strategies to overcome these struggles. Now, he shares his journey with students to help them believe in themselves and find their own path to success.
On March 19th, Mike will be providing a parent session to students, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The "Born to Shine" initiative included three layers of support:
⭐ School Assembly – A dynamic, 60-minute presentation.
⭐ Reflection Session – A virtual follow-up discussion.
⭐ After Care – Access to an online course for continued support.
Students walked away from the experience with improved self-esteem, resilience, empathy, and reduced anxiety, leaving them excited about their future. Liberty Local Schools was proud to provide this opportunity, ensuring students are set up for lifelong success.
